Tracy CHP Area Office
This 15,000 sf CHP Area Office building contains administrative and officer functional spaces. The building is separated into three primary areas, Public Service and Clerical Administrative functions; Officer administrative and support functions; and thirdly, the building support areas. The public has direct access to the Public Lobby which is the communication point between CHP staff and the visitors. Beyond the lobby the facility is secured from the general population and access is granted by escort only.
The remaining building structures are service/utility type. They include the Auto Service Building, Radio Vault and Generator Equipment Building and the Secured Volatile Equipment Building. The architectural design of these buildings is influenced by the Area Office Building in materials, massing, roof structure and other design elements. The buildings exterior construction is split faced concrete masonry units with standing seam metal roofing.
Site improvements include separate public access parking and secure State parking areas, bicycle racks, a waste enclosure for trash, recyclables, used oil tank and used tires. The vehicle fueling area is comprised of an above ground 12,000 gal. gasoline storage tank, fuel dispensing stations, control kiosk and canopies. The communications tower is a self supporting four leg 120-foot tall steel structure.
