This 7,380 sf fire station is comprised of three elements - administration, fire suppression and building support. The administration area includes entry/lobby, administration office with three open - office style work stations and a police sub-station office. The fire suppression area includes two double-deep drive-thru apparatus bays featuring turnout gear storage, response desk, and an exhaust extraction system; tool room; medical storage; exercise/fitness room; four 3-bed dormitories with computers and personal storage lockers; living/day room with TV and recliner chairs; kitchen/dining room; and outdoor patio with barbecue and sink. Building support features include public restroom; men's and women's restroom/showers; laundry; general building storage; and a utility building with boat storage for wintertime water rescue efforts. Site improvements include parking, back-up emergency generator; roof-top radio antennas; night lighting; security fencing; and potential for a future carport structure.
